By 1915 the company started producing tennis shoes and became known for its independence and lack of following every other company in everything they do. 1917 saw the biggest advance by Mr Converse when he invented the all time classic Converse basketball shoes, the All-Star. 4 years later, Charles H. Chuck Taylor, a basketball player joined the company as a salesman and ambassador. After a couple of years Chuck's signature was printed on the Allstar emblem.
Converse have become a hugely recognised brand across the globe. Appealing to youths and adults from all cultures.
